Design wall Monday 5/19 sashing

My scrappy blue blocks are still on the wall this week. I only have 4 more blocks to make, then I’ll start making the setting triangles for the sides. I got all the blocks squared up last night and went through my blue fabrics and found one to use for the sashings.

I’ve also been making a square a day on the scrappy blocks. Here’s what I have so far. These are so fast!! 🙂

I have to hurry up and finish the blue squares in order to have room to put up the basket weave blocks. As you can see, there’s not much room! LOL!!

Anyway, that’s my wall for this week. To see more design walls check out http://www.patchworktimes.com

Thanks for stopping by!!

  1. I like your scrappy blue blocks, but what a lot of tiny squares have gone into that quilt! Enjoy the last stages.
Is your basket weave quilt also going to be predominantly blue? You must have an awful lot of blue scraps.

Thanks Marly! I hadn’t thought about the basket weave quilt, but yes it will probably end up being blue. I do have lots of blues and purples. Those are my favorite colors and I tend to buy them more than anything else. 🙂
