I spent yesterday afternoon getting the rest of the rows sewn together. Those cornerstones were a pain but worth it in the end, I think…..
The top has outgrown my design wall as it is measuring about 96″ square. It’s been raining for the last several days so I can’t lay it outside and get a picture, so I folded the top in half, took 2 photos and put them together. Unfortunately there is a white area going across the pic but you can pretty much see what the quilt looks like at this point.
Starting in the upper left corner, you’ll notice the white sashings and they change to grays across the quilt, finishing with the black. I’m not sure if I like it or not………maybe once the borders are on and I can lay it out and see the whole thing I’ll like it better. We’ll see. Good thing is that it used a lot of leftover strings of fabric!! 👍
That’s it for me today. To see more walls visit http://www.patchworktimes.com

I like the changing color in the sashing. That is a great idea. I hope you like it too when it is finished.
Coming along great! Good idea with the sashing.
I adore string quilts. The movement and variety make them. Yours is looking lovely!
Thank you Shelley!
