I’ve had a busy week, but managed to find time to get the borders added on to my latest string quilt.
After posting pictures of my pieced borders, I got some positive remarks about them, so I designed another quilt using the diamond shapes. There seems to be no end to the use of strings!!

My design wall this week still has the string blocks on it. They are now sewn into rows and I have the sashings sewn. Hopefully I can find time soon to get the rows and sashings sewn together and then make the pieced border.

I’m ready to add borders onto the quilt from last week. It’s been removed from my design wall and replaced with new string pieces. It’s similar to an old antique quilt top that I purchased a while back.
Before putting the pieces up on the wall, I laid them out on the table……..
Hmmmm…..might need to make a spider web quilt too!
Too many quilts to make and never enough time! LOL!

Just a quick check in here for design wall Monday. I’m making another string quilt with the shadow look. I decided this time to make the strings rectangles instead of squares. 
I hope I can get this sewn together this week, so I can start the next string quilt I have planned. I’m addicted to these crazy strings!!
