Design wall Monday 3/10 blue scraps

After our long day Saturday, and the fact that we lost an hour of sleep because of daylight savings time, I was pretty well tuckered out yesterday. I hate to let a day go by without sewing or quilting something, so I decided to sew a bit more on the scrappy blue quilt I’m working on. I’m cutting strips of blue fabric from my scraps and making them into blocks. Here’s what I finished last night and have on my design wall today.

I have lots of pieces cut into sections.

And several more strips cut.

This will be another one of those projects that will take me awhile to complete. I guess a little bit here and a little bit there will eventually get me to the completed quilt top! LOL!

2014 Mystery quilt “lock in”

What a fun day we all had yesterday! It was our annual mystery quilt day. We had over 50 ladies sewing, eating and visiting!
Here’s a few of them.

We named this years pattern Double D’Lite. Here’s mine.

Here’s Sharon’s.

Those making the throw size quilt got a lot done on theirs.

Some of the ladies with a block. It’s fun to see all the different colors they choose.

There’s a sneak peek at some of what happened yesterday. I’m already looking forward to next years!! 🙂

Have a great day!

Design wall Monday 3/2/14 circles

Since I didn’t have to drive the school bus today because of the frigid cold temps, I decided to start my Monday off by getting the rest of the rows sewn together on this quilt. All that’s left to do is add a border. I’m  going to add a solid black border and call it done. Probably won’t get to that this week because of the Lock in being next Saturday. I have my quilt quilted and binding attached, just need to get it sewn down and it will be ready to go! I still have lots to do before Sat.

Anyway, for the last time, here’s the circle quilt on my wall. It looks different with the black sashing strips.
